Welcome to 3rd week of October, 2019.
72% attendance last week. It was good to see you –
Thanks to James Bailey, the Dover High School Interact Advisor and two of our Interact Board Members, Victoria Anyawu and Angela Hoang, for providing our program last week. Mr. Bailey said, this is a rebuilding year for Interact at DHS as most of the active Interact students graduated last year.
This week’s program presenter is one of our own, Dr. Art Gilbert who asks each of us to bring a writing utensil to the meeting with us. Evidently there will be a test after the program. I hope it’s not math.
Super Senator Day was last Saturday. Thank you to all who helped. I’d especially like to recognize our Interact liason, Ben Parrish for the yoemans job he did to make sure our exhibit with the DHS Interact Club was a success.
The first Colonial Social of this Rotary year was a grand success Sunday afternoon thanks to Lois Wilkerson and Mel Warren; co- chairs of our Social Committee. We especially thank Mel and his wife Peni who acted as ad hoc host and hostess for the event and also provided all the table decorations and some of the cheese and crackers Hors d’oeuvres we enjoyed. All the snacks were delish and we enjoyed a private tour of the winery too. Can we top this one?
Welcome to our newest Colonial Rotary Member, Chas Barker, GM of Pivot Physical Therapy sponsored by Mark Pugh.
The Governor’s A-Coming – Please plan to attend our regular meeting on December 6th and welcome District Governor Ferguson.
Yours In Rotary Service,
Alex Vaughan president
P.S. remember to bring something to write with. av
