The Dover Colonial Rotary Club is a non-political and non-sectarian organization of people who share a passion for community service, volunteerism, fellowship, and fun. We have engaging club meetings about twice a month and also hold enjoyable monthly social functions. We also plan, coordinate, sponsor, and participate in community volunteer activities and fundraising initiatives for worthy causes.

Rotary International is a worldwide service organization dedicated to bringing business and professional leaders together for the purpose of advancing peace, goodwill, and philanthropy through humanitarian initiatives.
Founded by Chicago attorney Paul P. Harris in 1905, Rotary International has since grown to over thirty thousand member clubs on six continents, and with a total of 1.4 million individual members known as "Rotarians." The name "Rotary" is derived from the practice of the first Rotary clubs of rotating their meeting location between the offices of each member.
There will be a regular club meeting this Friday, March 15th, at our normal meeting time and place (7:30am-8:30am, Fellowship Hall, Dover Christian Church).
Our guest will be Hazel J Showell-Walker, Adjunct Professor/Recruiter at Wilmington University. Hazel leads the University's College of Education recruiting program, which prepares aspiring teachers for careers as educators.
As you may know, Delaware continues to be challenged by a statewide teacher shortage. More than half of all Delaware educators earned their credentials at Wilmington U, and 12 of the 20 Delaware School District Teachers of the Year for 2020 were Wilmington U graduates; also, 11 of the last 14 Delaware Teachers of the Year hold Wilmington U degrees!
It will be an interesting presentation, so please try to attend if you can. And as usual, there will be lots of laughs, fellowship, and goodies from La Baguette!
