The mission of The Friends of Old Dover is to promote the preservation of historic buildings and properties in Kent County, Delaware, and to preserve documents and memorabilia of historical importance. They also aim to enhance the beauty of Dover through recognition and sponsorship of houses, buildings, gardens, and garden tours. Their mission includes educating the community and fostering public interest in Dover’s historical heritage through various programs, tours, and educational events. Additionally, they support the development of educational programming in and around the sites of the First State Heritage Park to further their mission.
