One Fifteen Hundred Dollar ($1,500) Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating High School Senior. The Scholarship is for the first year of post high school education. The scholarship is for any full time college/university/or post secondary school and any course of study.

To qualify for the scholarship, the applicant should:

  1. Be a 2026 graduate from a any accredited High School within the Capital School District.
  2. Not be a direct relation (child or grandchild) of a Colonial Rotary Club member.
  3. Have a minimum GPA of at least 2.75.
  4. Include a letter of reference or recommendation in PDF format.

Applications must be received on or before Monday, May 11th, 2026

  • The recipient of the scholarship will be notified by Wednesday, May 14th, 2026 by phone and in writing. The letter will include the specifics of the award. The student must submit an invoice from the school they will attend, so that the award may be sent directly to the school.
  • The scholarship recipient is asked to attend the Colonial Rotary Club meeting on the morning of Friday, May 15th, 2026 for presentation of the award.
